In a high school where it is every man for himself, Bear Believers is a place where students can come together with one common belief, and on Wednesday, Sept. at 7:30 a.m., Bear Believers will hold their annual See You at the Pole event for all students to participate in.
“See You at the Pole (SYATP) is a student-led, global movement of Christian prayer that happens on the fourth Wednesday of September, typically before school,” Bear Believers sponsor Jennifer Seago said.
Each year, SYATP allows students to gather together in the morning, and pray for friends, family, teachers, communities, and just people they feel need to be prayed for.
“Students will meet around the flagpole in front of the high school,” Seago said.
Bear Believers will also host a SYATP Rally on the afternoon of Sept. 24 in the high school auditorium.
“All churches are welcome,” Seago said. “Pizza will be served at five, praise and worship and student testimonies will be shared, and then Frank Turek will share a message.”
Seago said she hopes that all students will attend to participate in prayer and worship and take the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Christ.
“This can make a positive impact on student’s lives in a spiritual way,” Seago said.
