Sophomore Alayah Mulhollan was nominated for Bear of the Week by her health science teacher, Tara Parsons, and her English II teacher, Lindsey Fruge. At school, she is involved in Drama Club and choir. Outside of school, she enjoys Taekwondo, art, and writing. She also enjoys listening to music.
Mulhollan’s goals for the future are to defend herself physically and emotionally. Her favorite classes this year are choir, English, and history.
“My choir teacher, English teacher, and history teacher make school less miserable and make me feel cherished,” Mulhollan said.
If she could give advice to her future self, it would be this: don’t worry about if everyone is judging you; you don’t even like everybody.
Mulhollan’s favorite part of going to LCM is listening to her favorite teachers speak about anything and when they praise her.
“Seeing my friends at school also keeps me going,” Mulhollan said.
According to her principles of health science teacher Tara Parsons, Mulhollan is such a sweet student.
“She always makes it a point to say hello in the hallway, and I love our little chats in class,” Parsons said.
Mulhollan’s English II teacher, Lindsey Fruge, said she is a kind, genuine soul.
“I can always count on Alayah to come into class with a smile on her face,” Fruge said. “She has such a fun, unique personality, and she deserves to be recognized. Alayah is the kind of student every teacher loves to have; she has such a sweet demeanor and is always so nice to everyone around her. I have loved having her in my class this year.”
