Freshman Keller Claybar plays basketball and loves archery.

Freshman Keller Claybar plays on the LCM basketball team, while also participating in competitive archery outside of school.

Along with Claybar’s extracurricular activities, he has many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, working out, and hanging out with his friends and family.

According to Claybar, his biggest role model is his dad because he inspires him and pushes him to be better. His dad is also his hunting and fishing buddy.

One of his biggest accomplishments is the fact that he is better at most grown men when it comes to shooting, so much that his dad would put him up against almost anyone in a shooting competition.

Moving toward the future, one of Claybar’s goals is to be successful and to make good money. His motivation to push through life is thinking what his life could be if he continued to get better everyday rather than give up on trying.

If Claybar could give any advice to his younger self, he would remind his himself to not let anyone pick on him, and to stand up for himself no matter the circumstance.

Claybar said he truly enjoys the people at LCM. He also enjoys many of his classes – especially athletics because he gets to play basketball.

According to Claybar’s Algebra I teacher Allie Hanson, he is a fun and positive student to have in class.

“He’s naturally talented in math and always eager to tackle new challenges with confidence,” Hanson said. “His goofy sense of humor and great personality make learning fun for everyone around him, and his hard work and kindness make him deserving of Bear of the Week.”
