Sophomore Kaylie Leffew is a member of the Honey Bear drill team and Bear Believers. Outside of school, she is actively involved in dance and church.
Leffew said her biggest role models are her parents because of their hard work. Her goal for the future is to work in the medical field. Her greatest accomplishment was making drill team when she did not believe she could.
Some advice she would give to her younger self is, “Be confident and be you; it helps in a lot of ways.” Leffew said something that motivates her on a daily basis is thinking about what she can do to better herself. Her favorite part of attending LCM is her teachers and friends. Her favorite class this year is health science because she says her teacher is the best.
According to health science teacher Tara Parsons, Leffew is always kind and smiling.
“Kaylie is such a joy to have in class,” Parsons said. “She is the definition of kindness, always has a smile on her face, and brightens the classroom with her positive attitude.”
