Senior Scholarship Information Posted

On Feb. 18, there was a scholarship meeting held to let the seniors know what scholarships were available to them. If any seniors missed the meeting, you can find out more on the Counselor’s Corner page on the high school website or websites such as: Fastweb.com, Scholarships.com, StudentScholarships.org, scholarshipexperts.com.

Some tips and reminders for completing your Scholarship Applications are:

  • Type or print neatly
  • Try to avoid scratch-outs (use white-out if an error is made)
  • Answer every question and provide all requested supporting documents
  • Proofread
  • Request transcripts  in the Counselor’s Office(allow two days for pickup)
  • Request letters of recommendation (try to avoid asking counselors for letters)
  • Make essays generic so that you can save, edit and use again
  • Attach transcript, resume of involvement/activities, personal essay of goals
