The Honey Bears competed this past weekend and racked up several awards.

The Honey Bears competed at the 8 National Talent Competition in Lake Charles this past weekend and brought home several awards.

The following team routines placed:

“Surf Crazy” – 1st Production Overall

“Get Big” – 1st Hip Hop Large Group Overall

“A Little Party” – Danceline Champions

Junior Aniken Borel earned a scholarship for her performance in the group routines. Senior Sydney Peet earned Miss Photogenic.

The following duets placed:

Sydney Peet and Ashley Umbenhaur – Platinum and 3rd Intermediate Duet Overall

Emily White and Abby Sadler – Platinum

Allie Jo Allbritton and Makenzie Meulemans – Platinum and 3rd Novice Duet Overall

The following solos placed:

Haylee Wheeler, Jadyn Ihle, and Shelby Smith – High Gold

Caylee Aleman, Emily Faust, Emily White, Aniken Borel – Platinum

Senior Ashley Umbenhaur received Double Platinum on her solo and was 7th Intermediate Solo Overall. Senior Sydney Peet received Platinum on her solo and was 5th Runner-up for the title of Senior Miss.

Sophomore Madeline Finn received Titanium on both her solos and was 3rd Intermediate Overall with one and 1st Overall with the other. Madeline was 2nd-runner up in the title of Senior Miss. She also received a special award for technique.

Kimberly Scott (Director) and Mikayla Wappler (Assistant Director) said they are so proud of how hard the girls have worked and exceeded their expectations.
