The baseball seniors were honored on Friday night.

The senior baseball players will be honored before they play their last game on their home field against the Orangefield Bobcats.

“Senior night is always the last district game in which we honor our seniors and their parents,” baseball coach Steve Griffith said.

Seniors on the team are Vinny Hale, Cameron Parker, Mitchell Lee, Bryce Peasly, Drake Trawhon, Grant White, Peyton Choate, Christian Fuselier, Kade Bland, Tyler McCorvey, Ryan Martin, and Dylan Dixon. Parker, who has played since his freshmen year, said he is looking forward to playing one last time on the field with his best friends

“I’m excited about it,”Parker said. “It’s going to be a fun night.”

Lee is also looking forward to playing with his best friends that he has made through his years on the team. One of his favorite memories from his senior season is the bus rides home after big wins.

Parker also noted how the bus rides, downtime at tournaments with the team, and playing the”UNO” card game in room 217 at Woodville were some of his best memories from his senior baseball season.

Griffith said he always hates to see the seniors go but is looking forward to staying alive in the play-off hunt.

“The best is yet to come,” Griffith said.
