The 2014 Varsity Baseball team is working hard and preparing to have a successful season. The Bears have 18 players and make up the youngest team LC-M has had in two decades. Junior Coby Roddy and Sophomore Drake Trawhon are leading the team as starting pitchers.

According to head Coach Steve Griffith, the team’s tournament record was about .500 and the district this year will be a tough one. To prepare for such competition, Griffith plans on getting in as much practice and game time as possible.

The Bears’ next district match will be against Ozen tonight at 7 p.m. at the home field.
