Freshman Montana DiLeo recently competed at the 4A Girls State Golf Championships at Plum Creek Golf Course in Kyle, Texas. DiLeo placed 7th out of about 75 competitors. 

“Advice I would give to others that have goals that seem unachievable at first is to have patience and put in the practice that is neccessary.” she said.

According to DiLeo, advancing to the state level as a freshman was very exhilarating. She plans to improve her average score during the off season and place even higher at the state tournament next year. 

“My goal coming into the season was to advance from district to Regionals,” DiLeo said. “I never thought it would turn into State.”
