The Bear Stage Players will be presenting their second play of the year, “The Crucible,” this weekend. The production centers around the Salem Witch Trials and will be something new for the cast, as they typically present comedies.
“I was worried about the challenges that tackling a new genre would present for us, but the work ethic rehearsal schedule and dedication has remained constant and our results will be the same… an excellent play from the Bear Stage Players,” LCM Theatre Director Cory Broom said.
Some of the leading actors of this large ensemble production include: Triston Stringer as “John Procter,” Abigail Noah as ” Abigail Williams,” Courtney Atherton as “Elizabeth Proctor,” Rebecca Sanford as “Marry Warren,” Jacob Richard as “Reverend Parris,” Connor Alexander as “Reverend Hale” and Alex Borel as “Judge Danforth.”
“The cast and crew have given many weekends to rehearsals, including two eight-hour long rehearsals,” Broom said. “The kids have learned a lot on this journey.”
The first presentation of the play will be this Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The other performances will be Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
