All-you-can-eat French fries at McDonald’s is a bad idea.

One of McDonald’s newest locations in St. Joseph, Missouri will open in July. The 6,500 square foot location is going to have all of the basic amenities that other buildings typically have, but a few changes rumored to be occurring are customizable desserts, sandwiches, burgers, unlimited French fries and ordering kiosks.

Not only is McDonald’s food extremely unhealthy and a danger to one’s health, but the company is now going to test out all-you-can-eat French fries at their newest location. There has been plenty of questioning about what is actually in their food and McDonald’s recently revealed that there are 19 ingredients in their fries.

The ingredients include: potatoes, canola oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor, hydrolyzed wheat, hydrolyzed milk, citric acid, dimethylpolysiloxane, dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate, salt, Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, TBHQ and citric acid.

Dimethylpolysiloxane is a group of compounds that are commonly referred to as silicone’s and can be found in shampoo, caulking, lubricants, heat resistant tile and, well, food that people eat every day. But, most importantly it’s found in the McDonald’s French fries. It is used as an anti-foaming agent to keep the oil from splattering and to help “keep it from graying,” through the freezing process.

Almost more than one third of America’s population is obese. With McDonald’s testing out all-you-can-eat French fries, the obesity rate is going to skyrocket and become an even bigger problem. This trial and error is an extremely bad idea and also proposes more health concerns for the already unhealthiness of the food provided and the people consuming it.

The obesity rate is definitely going to rise.

For example, the obesity rate is definitely going to rise. The fact that people already double up on McDonald’s food because they can’t get enough is a dilemma. Adding all-you-can-eat French fries will be just as troubling.

This will be a high expense for the corporation alone and many people are going to get sick or develop health issues, which will lead to a lot more money being dished out because of lawsuits. It has been proven that too much McDonald’s can kill someone and the question that people need to ask themselves is: Am I willing to sacrifice my overall health for a few French fries?
