The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2. The Good Dinosaur. Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens.

These are all movies coming out within the next couple of days/weeks. These titles have been greatly anticipated, some for the reason that they are part of series that super-fans love, as with Mockingjay and The Force Awakens, or simply because of the way the trailer portrayed the movie, as with The Good Dinosaur.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2’s release date was yesterday, Nov. 19. This is the fourth installment of the Hunger Games series, originally a book series written by Suzanne Collins, and was made into the first movie in March of 2012. The series has been a hit, making over $2 billion in the past 3 years, and it doesn’t stop there. This film is expected to make somewhere around $125 million in ticket sales.  If you haven’t tuned in to these movies, the gist of them is a dystopian future where two children (a boy and a girl) aged 12-18 are selected from their “district”, and upon being chosen, are thrown into a ring with every other competitor, to fight for their lives at any cost. This is the fourth and last movie of the series, and is certain to entertain.

The Good Dinosaur is a sweet story produced by Pixar and Disney. The theme of the film follows the traditional story of a boy and his dog, except this time, the pet is the human, Spot, and the boy is the dinosaur, Arlo. The Good Dinosaur is set to release on Nov.25 and is a family-friendly film but also sure to be a tearjerker.

As for Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, many have been anticipating the release of this movie since the trailer was shown over half a year ago. It has been 10 years since the last Star Wars movie was released, which is another reason people are so anxious to see this newest addition to the series. The movie will be unleashed to the public on Friday, Dec. 18.
