For those who weren’t at the LCM Varsity football game against Hardin-Jefferson, they missed out. Towards the end of the second half, senior player Sam King made a legendary touchdown that made the crowd go wild.

“Before the touchdown, I was mainly focusing on keeping the momentum up after the big interception by Winters,” King said. “After I scored, I knew we had them in a corner and in a position to win.”

As any football players knows, preparing for a season and even for one single game is essential in having the right mindset.

“[We were] simply thinking about getting our first win of the season,” King said. “To prepare for this game we had to practice harder than we have before, and pick up the intensity.”

When the game ended, King and the rest of the players were able to celebrate with the attending student body on the field.

“After getting the first win, the feeling is always amazing, and always the same,” King said. “Focusing on the next opponent, and getting that win also.”
