Seniors Brianna Edwards and Dominique Edwards are very involved and hard-working students at LCM. Both of them are involved in HOSA, NHS, Interact, Student Council and Key Club. Although both of them are involved in many school activities, they are both involved in Delta GEMs outside of school.
Brianna’s biggest role model is God, and every day she tries to make herself better by walking in His image. Dominique’s biggest role model is her mom because she is a very hard worker and motivates her to try her hardest.
Brianna and Dominique both have interesting hobbies; Brianna enjoys reading, finding new music, car rides and traveling. Dominique likes reading, art and baking.
Brianna and Dominique both have ambitious plans for their futures. Brianna wants to attend the University of Texas at Austin to become a dermatologist. Dominique wants to become a pharmacist and travel the world.
Both Brianna and Dominique have many accomplishments that they are immensely proud of. Brianna’s biggest accomplishment is the fact that she is graduating this year while also being in the top 5% of students. Dominique’s biggest accomplishment is making it into NHS. She said her grades were not the best at the beginning of her sophomore year, but she kept trying and ended the year with only one B. She was inducted next year.
Brianna and Dominique’s favorite class is AP Chemistry. They say that Mrs. Dunn is a fun and good teacher, and that they never know what to expect from her.
Both Brianna and Dominique would give their younger self great advice. Brianna would tell her younger self to stop procrastinating and try new things. Dominique would tell her younger self to take the time to do what she loves.
Brianna’s favorite thing about being a student at LCM are game days, while Dominique’s favorite thing is the school spirit, because everyone always goes out for dress up days and both the pep rallies and football games are full of support from the crowd.
Brianna is motivated by her goals in the future because they push her to wake up every day so she can succeed in the future. Dominique’s goals are to move up north because it motivates her to keep going and make this a reality.
According to the Edwards’ pathophysiology teacher Tara Parsons, they are both great assets to the school.
“They are involved in many clubs and always helping out,” Parsons said. “I’ve had them in class for 3 years now and they are wonderful students.”
