Karol Martinez is a junior and a member of the National Honor Society, as well as HOSA. Martinez loves to draw comics, play soccer, and play video games. In the future, Martinez would like to pursue a career in nursing.
Martinez’s biggest inspirations are her mother and her health science teacher, Tara Parsons.
“They both help me grow as a person and teach me valuable lessons,” Martinez said.
One important aspect of Martinez’s life is her beloved roach character, Timmy. Martinez has been drawing this roach since 6th grade and has now developed comic strips about him.
“I’m proud of how far Timmy has come along and how I keep his story alive,” Martinez said. “Roach Timmy motivates me to work hard and to keep drawing comics!”
Martinez’s favorite class this year is her therapeutic class.
“Karol is always polite and always has a smile on her face,” Parsons said.
