Sophomore Gabrielle Moore is involved in a multitude of activities in school, including: Interact, Student Council, Bear Believers, FCCLA, UIL Journalism, and yearbook. Outside of school, she attends Bridge City United Pentecostal Church, where she is on the photography team, sign language team, and puppet ministry team. She is also a worship leader for the Sunday school department.

She aims to be a strong, mature, caring leader who other people can look to for her kind heart and perseverance. She wants to be an inspiration to others. According to Moore, she looks up to her grandpa, Poppie.

“Poppie is wise and gives me great advice and guidance,” Moore said. “He is a silly and very caring person who always makes me feel loved. I love him so much and will always strive to make him proud.”

Moore’s favorite quote is from Eleanor Roosevelt, who said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” It is her favorite quote because of how much truth it holds, and she believes that without those who believe in their dreams, the future would be dull.

In her free time, Moore likes to paint, draw, read, write, sing, travel, bake, and go shopping. Her favorite things to paint are the clouds and beautiful sunsets. Her favorite movie changes every week but is currently “Pride and Prejudice.” Her favorite TV show is “Boy Meets World” and her favorite books are “The Selection” series by Kiera Cass.

“Gabby has a great personality and is kind to all her classmates,” Child Development teacher Jennifer Seago said. “She gives 100 percent to her schoolwork and is very dedicated to everything she’s involved in. She is a very uplifting and positive student whom I really enjoy having in class. I know she will make a difference in the world one day.”

According to Moore, some of the most important things in her life are her family, friends, church, school, UIL, and being on the yearbook staff. After she graduates high school, she wants to pursue a career as a high school teacher at LCM or as a wedding planner.

“Before I started my freshman year, my worst fear was high school, but this has been the best year and a half of my life,” Moore said. “I could not ask for a better school, and I could not ask for a better family.”
