The Battlin’ Bear Football team will play the El Campo Ricebirds in the third round of the State playoffs at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26 at Woodforest Bank Stadium in Shenandoah. The Bears defeated the Columbia Roughnecks, 42-21, last Friday night to claim the first LCM Area Championship since 1997.

Going into Friday night’s game, the Bears hold a 10-2 record, while the Ricebirds are 11-1.

A community pep rally will be held at 12:20 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26 in the high school parking lot. All students, staff members, and community members are encouraged to attend. Kickoff against the Ricebirds will be at 6 p.m.
