Junior Nick Young is involved in computer science and theatre, where he is a part of the tech crew. He said he looks up to his mom and grandpa more than anyone.

“They take care of me and push me to be my best,” Young said.

In the future, Young would like to become a mechanical engineer and help form organizations to help people in need. He said he strives to be the type of person that people look up to and come to with their problems.

His favorite quote is, “Heroes come and go, but legends are forever,” by Kobe Bryant.

“When a legend dies, they leave a legacy,” Young said. “When a hero dies, they are remembered.”

In his free time, Young enjoys playing video games, hanging out with friends and family, and helping out his grandpa. His favorite movie is “Remember the Titans,” and his favorite book is “The Autobiography of Malcolm X.” His favorite TV show is “9-1-1 Lonestar.”

Some of the most important things in his life are his family and friends. His favorite class at LCMHS is computer science because the class is fun, and they always have lots of laughs.

“Nick is very deserving of this award,” computer science teacher Terry Morris said. “He always has a smile on his face. His attitude is amazing, he is a pleasure to have in class, and his positive attitude is contagious.”
