Academic UIL team earns second place trophy

Sophomores Valencia Allen and Rayna Christy competed and placed in News Writing. Allen placed 5th and Christy placed 6th. They were two of several students to earn medals.

The Academic UIL teams competed at the first practice meet of the year yesterday at Bridge City High School. Several students brought home medals and the team brought home the second place sweepstakes trophy.

The results are as follows:

Computer Science: 1st – Alex Poole, 2nd – Emily Oldbury, 3rd – Jessica Allen, 4th – Layden Webb, 1st place team – Alex Poole, Emily Oldbury, Jessica Allen

Math: 6th – Alex Poole

Computer Applications: 3rd – Hunter Long, 4th – Ethan O’Bannion

Current Issues and Events: 3rd – Lauren Keely, 3rd place team
