Senior Tiffany Cates is the head student trainer for LCM Athletics. Outside of school, she loves to spend time with her family. Her goal for the future is to go to college and become a physical therapist. She strives to be a successful type of person.

According to Cates, she looks up to the athletic trainer, Sheri Hoffpauir, and her stepdad, Dennis Burhop.

“Both of them set an example of what I want to be,” Cates said.

Cates’ favorite quote is from Phillipians 4:6: “Do not be anxious anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

In her free time, Cates likes to watch Netflix and listen to music. Some of the most important things in her life are family and school.

She is a wonderful person and a great student.

According to math teacher Nita Stewart, Cates is a bright young lady with a great work ethic.

“She takes care of what needs to be done and to keep her grades strong,” Stewart said. “She participates in class and is responsible. She also has a great personality and sense of humor.”

Hoffpauir has worked with Cates for several years in the student trainer program and said she is a very responsible young lady.

“She is a wonderful person and a great student,” Hoffpauir said. “In the years that I have known her, I have watched her grow into a very trustworthy and dependable young lady. I have watched her become very confident in her skills as a student trainer so much so, that she was able to take two first-year student trainers and teach them many aspects of the job. Just recently, she has stepped up and is doing a phenomenal job keeping the training room running smoothly while I have had to be away from the training room to take care of some personal business due to the tornado that hit our home. I have enjoyed working with her and will miss her dearly next year.”
