Senior Jonathon Guilbeaux is a part of the Battlin’ Bear Football team and enjoys going to church when he’s not at school.

Guilbeaux said he looks up to his parents because they are hard working people and would do anything for him and his siblings. He also looks up to his football coach, Eric Peevey.

“They’re good people,” he said about his parents. “Peevey is a good man. He never doubts us, and he always tries to get the best out of us. He taught us how to respect each other and women, and gave us everything.”

Guilbeaux said he aims to be a person who can make an honest living and just enjoy life.

Jonathon is willing to go above and beyond.

Jonathon’s favorite quote is, “I believe there are angels among us, sent down to us from somewhere up above. They come to you and me in our darkest hours, to show us how to live, to teach us how to give, to guide us with a light of love.”

One day, Guilbeaux would like to become a chemical engineer.

Guilbeaux enjoys watching “Breaking Bad,” “The Walking Dead, and “Halloween.” He also likes to hang out with friends and play games in his free time. The most important things in his life are his friends and family. His favorite class this year is computer science with Terry Morris because he likes the way he teaches and his classes are fun to be in.

“Jonathon is willing to go above and beyond,” Guilbeaux’s Honors Pre-Cal teacher Nita Stewart said. “He is not afraid of a challenge!”

According to football and powerlifting coach Frank Snoddy, Guilbeaux is a good, hard-working young man.

“He’s always where he is supposed to be, and he is always trying to do the right thing,” Snoddy said.
