This week’s Bear of the Week is freshman Makinzi Stevens. Stevens plays soccer, runs track, and plays volleyball. She is involved in some organizations such as FFA and Bear Believers, and she also enjoys taking art.

In her free time outside of school, Stevens attends small group at her church or draws. Her favorite movie is “The Greatest Showman.” One thing most people do not know about Stevens is that she can sing.

The three most important things to Stevens are Jesus, family, and friends, and she especially looks up to her Nana. When Stevens is older, she aspires to go to college to become a veterinarian.

“Makinzi is a sweetheart and a very hard worker,” art teacher Betsy Kaufman said. “She doesn’t take herself too seriously, but she takes her work seriously.”

According to her math teacher Brooke Deets, Stevens works hard and is motivated to be successful.

“Makinzi exhibits good character daily,” Deets said.
