Student’s Band to Perform in Houston
Most high school juniors are concerned with what band to see in concert on Friday night, but Chris Boaz’s main concern is where his next gig will be. Luckily for him,
Boaz and his band “Atlas” will perform at the Number Night Club in Houston on Dec. 29 in the hopes of being recognized by Gorilla Music, a music management company.
“Gorilla Music is touring the country finding the best bands in each state and they think we’ve got potential,” Boaz said.
The band is responsible for selling tickets to the concert and the more tickets Boaz and his bandmates sell, the more publicity they will receive at the concert.
“We have 150 tickets to sell, but would need to sell at least 70 to gain any attention from the management company,” Boaz said.
Each ticket is $10 and one can buy tickets from any band member or can purchase them from their Facebook page, which can be found under the band’s name: “Atlas.”
“We have the chance to gain management from Gorilla Music,” Boaz said.”That’s a huge deal because they can get us lots more exposure. The more tickets we sell, the better!”
If you miss the band’s performance in Houston, you can catch them at The Center in Lake Charles, LA on Jan. 4.
