The Bear Football team will face Navasota in the Bi-District round of playoffs this Friday, Nov. 16 at Huffman Hargraves High School.

LCM’s overall record for the season is 4-6 and they placed third in district with a 3-2 record. According to head coach Randy Crouch, the leaders of the team this year have been the seniors: Blake Ferguson, Brett Moss, Sean McKay, Kristian Ickes, Gavin Ihle, Kooper Abernathy, Blake Pruitt, Alex Knapp, Monterey Valladares, Colt Lebleu, and Adam Pope.

Crouch said the team went into the season with a goal of winning the district championship and advancing to playoffs. The team has faced some challenges this season, but has managed to conquer them.

“We had some early injuries we had to overcome and we did not have a lot of experience, but we overcame it,” Crouch said. “This is a team with heart, toughness and a will to win. They work very hard and have played their hearts out every week. I am so very proud of their efforts this year. Not many people gave them a chance to make the playoffs, but we did.”
