Music is a life saver

As a teenager, music is a tremendous part of my life. I listen to it just about anywhere – while I’m doing my homework, riding in the car, while I take showers…the list goes on forever. I don’t think music will ever be something I’ll get tired of.

I really like listening to music on the Spotify app on my phone simply because it’s very easy to use and access. The playlist that I listen to is called “Today’s Best Hits.” I enjoy listening to this playlist because it doesn’t have the same, generic, mainstream music that plays repeatedly on the radio. They play songs that are different, but still fits the type of music that I listen to most often, which is pop.

For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for listening to music. When I was little I always listened to more of pop rather than country or rap music. As I have gotten older, country music has grown on me and I’ve started to like it more. Still today, rap has not held much interest with me, but for some reason I still find myself listening to it.

Some of my favorite artists include The Weeknd, Rihanna, G-Eazy, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Beyonce, Selena Gomez, The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, and so many more. I also really love Frank Sinatra. His voice his so unique and it always seems to put me in a happy mood.

Music not only relieves me of stress but also gives me motivation to do chores or even my homework. For instance, when I clean my room, I can whip out a clean room in probably 15 minutes, but if I was doing it in peace and quiet then it would probably take me about 30 minutes because I’d most likely get distracted and then stop right in the middle of cleaning.

Also, if I’m in a bad mood or I feel down about something, music always finds a way to cheer me up. Honestly, music has really helped me through a lot and I don’t know where I would be without it.
