The LCM Honey Bear Drill Team is hosting its annual “Future Honey Bear Clinic” this Saturday, Oct. 8. This event gives children in Pre-K through 5th grade the chance to interact with the Honey Bears and experience a day in the life as a drill team member.

Those who sign up will learn a field routine and choreography to the LCM School Song and Fight Song. The Honey Bears are hoping to help the district’s little dancers dreams’ come true.

The Drill Team members will not only teach dances, but will also partake in fun activities such as Little Sally Walker, joke-telling and getting to know the clinic participants.

“We love to play games with them,” senior Honey Bear Elizabeth Guillot said.

This event is fun for the children involved, but the Honey Bears enjoy it as well. Senior member Cynthia Williams said she is excited about the clinic.

“My favorite part is helping out the kids,” Williams said.

The Honey Bears and clinic members will perform during halftime of the “Pink Out” LCM football game held on Friday, Oct. 14.

“This is one of the most rewarding moments of the year,” Guillot said. “We just love lifting their spirits up.”
