Getting to Know Student Body President Harlie Sorge

Bailey Newton

Harley Sorge is currently serving as the senior class president.

Q. What has your experience as president been like so far?

A. Stressful, but fun! I have a lot of ideas I want to start.

Q. What do you wish to accomplish in this position?

A. I am trying to get Nike shorts passed, bring back the black out pep rally, and get our student council out in the community.

Q. What do you want to do when you graduate?

A. I want to attend McNeese and become a teacher. I have not decided what grade yet.

Q. What has been your favorite experience at LCM?

A. My freshman year homecoming game I cheered at when we beat Livingston in triple overtime. That was the best football game I have ever cheered at.

Q. Why did you choose to be involved in so many activities?

A.I want to give back to people. I honestly don’t know what I would do if I only did one thing. I love being involved in our school.

Q. If you could hang out with any famous person for a day, who would it be and why?

A. Channing Tatum. I don’t know why, but I mean, it’s Channing Tatum. Why wouldn’t you wanna hang out with him?

Q. What is something most people don’t know about you?

A. That it really bothers me when people don’t like me. I try to think of ways that I can make them like me again.

Q. What is the most difficult part about being a cheerleader?

A. Being a cheerleader can be difficult for me because since I love football so much I tend to watch the game instead of cheer and that gets me in trouble.

Q. What do you do for fun?

A. I take dance on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays. I love to workout to help get things off my mind and tumbling is what I enjoy most because I feel like I am flying through the air.

Q. How would you describe yourself?

A. I am hard headed at times, independent, kind, helpful, and a strong Christian.
