Getting to know new receptionist

Maria Lopez has recently taken over as the new receptionist at LCM High School and The Bear Facts staff asked her some questions so that the student body and faculty can get to know her better.
Q: What brought you to LCM?
A: Subbing position
Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
A: Busy from 8:00 – 4:00, phone rings non-stop at times, parent calls and pick-ups, students signing in/out all day
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: Talking and getting to know the students and staff. Everyone here is friendly.
Q: What have been some of the challenges you have experienced?
A: Phone ringing when I have to search for students and/or helping a parent
Q: What are your goals for the rest of this year?
A: Learn more about the position and improve
Q: Have you had any other prior experience? Where and for how long?
A: Yes. I have worked with another school in Shelby, Montana. 5 years.
Q: How has this job changed you personally?
A: It has made me more patient.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
A: I enjoy spending time with my sons and going to watch them at their sporting events.
