Fallout 4 is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game was released on Tuesday, Nov. 10.

For junior Kolby Perkins, the Fallout 4 game release was like a breath of fresh air. He pre-ordered the game in mid-September as soon as it was available.

“It’s been seven years since the Bethesda released a Fallout game,” Perkins said. “Many fans, including myself, had been anticipating this game for very long time. When the game trailer came out many emotions flooded throughout their fans.”

“I got the game on November 10th, and it took around 30 minutes to install, which is pretty good time if you ask me,” Perkins said. “When I started playing the game, I immediately got into it. The story of Fallout 4 has to be the greatest thing about it.”

Junior Vance Bourg is another LCM student who could hardly wait for the game to be released.

“It’s very much like a hybrid between Fallout 4 and Skyrim,” Bourg said. “Oh, and deathclaws like to eat power armor.”

According to Steam’s internal numbers and Steam Spy, “Fallout 4” had 1.2 million PC owners on the platform in just one day of availability.

“Fallout 4” is also the top game on all of Steam right now, in terms of current players and it’s the top-selling game on the platform, too.
