Senior Balances School Activities

As if taking on college classes this year wasn’t enough, senior Brooke Tant also goes above and beyond in her involvement in school organizations and outside activities.
Tant has taken on the role of captain for the LCM Honey Bears this year and says she is very excited to dance and work with all of the dancers.
“Our team is better than ever and I am so happy to be a part of it,” Tant said.
When Tant is not dancing with the Honey Bears, she is teaching younger kids or taking dance lessons at Rose Thayer Dance Academy. On Mondays she teaches and on Tuesdays she dances. Tant is involved in many different classes such as ballet, tap, and jazz.
“Ballet is for sure my favorite,” Tant said. “I love the way it combines control, and fluidity.”
Aside from dance, Tant is also heavily involved in LCM Revealed, which is an organization for students who worship Christ. Every Wednesday morning, they sing songs of worship, and have a spiritual message before the school day begins.
“It really is wonderful, and anyone is invited,” she said.
When Tant has free time, she enjoys painting, making mums, and watching movies.
“I love all of the things I do, and wouldn’t have it any other way,” she said.
