Editor Reflects on Decision-Making

Decisions are a big part of our every day lives. One decision leads to the next and sooner than later, we’ll look back and see how all our decisions brought us to where we are.

Seniors have a huge choice to make; graduation is around the corner and these students have to decide where they would like to go next. They must determine whether they should move on to college or join the military, or possibly go straight into the work force. What college should I attend? What major should I choose? All these questions have to be answered in order to take on the next chapter.

Senior or not, decisions still are a part of your life. Relationships seem to have an enormous amount of choices in them. Some are holding onto a relationship that is hurting and causing pain but there are also strong relationships that must be juggled with school and other activities.

Decisions shape us and mold us into who we are and who we’re going to be. It’s kind of incredible really, the way we all have a different future in store for us depending on what we choose. We’re all moving on to the next chapter of our lives; whether it’s moving up in the food chain at your high school, starting your first year of college, moving on to starting your first true job, leaving school behind, or even taking hold of a relationship; the decisions pour in and they are endless. Whatever it may be, each and every one of us are growing up, whether we like it or not. The part that is scary isn’t the fact that we’re moving on; it is the part that we aren’t 100 percent sure what is coming up next or how our choices will affect the future. The older we get, the more we realize one simple decision could change everything.
