The Walking Dead Lives Again
Fans of AMC’s hit series “The Walking Dead” don’t have much longer to wait for the Season 5 premiere. The show, which has had viewers on the edge of their seats since 2010, is about a group of survivors coming together and trying to thrive in a post-apocalyptic world filled with flesh-eating zombies that have taken over the world and destroyed over half of the world’s population. The story is shown through the point of view of a group of survivors, including the leader of the group and main character, Rick Grimes.
In the previous season, the show began with the group running a successful camp at a prison with over 40 survivors. As the season progressed, a disease wiped out half the camp, the walls started collapsing from a huge amount of “walkers” pushing against them, and the prison was attacked by season 3’s main antagonist, The Governor. After all of that, the group was dwindled down to about 15 members. Everyone was separated and tried their best to survive in their small numbered-groups. They all eventually made their way to a camp called Terminus. During the season finale, the entire group somehow ended up at this camp and it turns out it was all a plot by the inhabitants of Terminus to attract survivors because they are cannibals. The show ended with all of them being held captive at Terminus with only 13 members left.
In this upcoming season, the group will be tested to their limits by the cannibal group that is holding them captive. Everyone is looking forward to this season after the show’s record breaking season premiere last year with more than 16 million viewers, and time can only tell how Rick and the rest of the gang will get out of this sticky situation.
