Bears to Face the Hawks Tonight
Tonight, the Battlin’ Bear Football team will face the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks in the fourth game of the season. The Bears have been pumped for this game since their big win against Goose-Creek Memorial last Friday with a score of 34-28.
“We’re hoping that everyone plays well,” LCM Head Coach Randy Crouch said about the match against the Hawks.
The team has been preparing for this game all week, even with the uncooperative weather, and they have been making the best of a bad situation and practicing every chance they get.
According to Crouch, all of the players are excited and positive about tonight’s game. The Bears have been working hard all season, and since this is their last pre-season game before District play begins, they are going to work even harder to start off the real season with a bang.
“I’m hoping they have the right mind set,” Crouch said of his varsity team.
The Bears have set certain goals for themselves, such as improving more and more as the season passes and eventually winning the District Championship, which will advance them to the playoffs.
“The team is ready to play this game and to dominate the season,” Crouch said.
