Junior Teagun Wilson is heavily involved in church, both in and outside of school. She is an active member of Bear Believers, as well as a member of her disciple group at church. Wilson has also been on varsity cheer since her sophomore year.
Wilson’s biggest role model is Jesus, due to his love for others and the principles he stands by.
“He really inspires me to grow and strive to be more like him,” Wilson said.
Teagun has a plethora of hobbies, some including reading romance books, baking, painting, drawing, and shopping. Her goals for the future are to attend Texas State with a degree in psychology.
“Once I get my LPC I pray I will find the love of my life and work towards my biggest dream of being a mother,” Wilson said.
Wilson’s greatest accomplishment in life is achieving the mindset she now lives with.
“I went from always putting myself down and letting my struggles and problems take over my life, to facing them through Christ because without Him I wouldn’t have found the strength to keep going,” Wilson said.
Wilson’s favorite class is Principles of Education class with Mrs. Seago because of the fun activities and projects.
“Not only is it a fun class but the environment is top tier,” Wilson said. “Whenever I am feeling upset or stressed, I can always count on Mrs. Seago.”
A word of advice Wilson would give to her younger self is that your life is your own story.
“You don’t owe anyone an explanation for your choices; they belong to you.” Wilson said. “While you might long for someone to truly see you, perhaps God is encouraging you to see and embrace yourself first.”
Wilson’s favorite part of going to LCM is the friendships she’s created.
“I truly don’t know where I’d be today,” Wilson said. “They have had such an important impact on my life and pray I never lose them. My friends really motivate me and keep me accountable with my goals and responsibilities that I set.”
According to Wilson’s business teacher Nikki Guerrero, she is an exceptional student and a joy to have in class.
“She is always engaged during lessons and shows a genuine desire to learn,” Guerrero said. “She comes to class every day with a positive attitude and strong work ethic, not only in her academics but extracurriculars as well. She is a student with integrity, great leadership qualities, and a bright future ahead of her.”
