Q: Was there a career you wanted to pursue or pursued before teaching?
A: Before I became a teacher, I worked in industrial supplies and managed 3 different branches of a nation-wide industrial supply company.
Q: Tell us about how you got into teaching.
A: After being in industrial supplies for about 8 or 9 years, I decided I wanted to make a career change that would allow me to help other people… so, I became a teacher.
Q: What do you do outside of school for fun?
A: Outdoor activities (hunting, fishing, traveling,) reading, gardening, woodworking)
Q: When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
A: I don’t know… probably that I go to Disney World often.
Q: What is something you know a weird amount about that is not related to something you teach?
A: Astronomy and maybe Star Wars
Q: Tell us the story about what you are most proud of yourself for.
A: Almost 30 years after being a terrible college student, I went back to college to get my Master’s degree… and so far I have straight A’s.
Q: Who is someone you are thankful for and why?
A: My dad. He set a great example for me.
Q: What advice would you give to your younger self?
A: Stop worrying about what other people think of you; they don’t matter. Oh, and going to a trade school instead of college is a perfectly fine option.
Q: What do you hope to be remembered for?
A: As someone that truly invested himself in others out of a desire to see them be successful
Q: What is on your bucket list? What aspirations do you have for the future?
A: See the northern lights; travel: Iceland, Norway, Egypt, Italy
