Sophomore Brooks Broussard is involved in many different activities outside of being a student. He is a member of FFA and competes on a horse judging team. He also works at Peveto’s Feed. He even has his own leather business.
According to Broussard, his biggest role models are his dad and pawpaw; he said that they have taught him a lot and that he looks up to them.
Broussard has quite a few hobbies, but his favorites are hunting, hanging out with friends, and taking care of his two horses and dog.
Broussard’s goals for the future are to be a game warden or a ranch manager somewhere.
According to Broussard, his greatest accomplishment is that he has his own leather work business, where he makes hand-tooled belts, duck straps, knife sheaths, spur straps, and more.
Broussard’s favorite class this year is welding because he enjoys getting to learn how to do it.
Some advice that Broussard would give to his younger self would be to be more outgoing.
Broussard said that his favorite part about going to LCM is being able to see his friends and all of the school spirit here.
According to Broussard, what motivates and keeps him going on a daily basis is his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Broussard’s equine science teacher, Callie Sattler, said he comes to class ready for whatever the class is doing that day.
“He has a genuine want to learn and has never been anything but respectful,” Sattler said. “He is the type of student that you want 100 more of.”
