Senior Rylan Vandiver has numerous activities that he is involved in during school, such as Student Council and UIL computer science.
His biggest role model is Hiccup Haddock because he changed the minds of those around him with his actions and words without having to hurt anyone, all while being outcast by his people. Some of his hobbies include playing video games, binge watching movies and shows, reading, collecting an assortment of items, and playing baseball.
His goals for the future are to live comfortably and happily, while being proud of what he does for the world with my family.
His favorite class this year is Mrs. Dunn’s dual enrolled chemistry class, because of how she teaches and the ability to easily learn. The advice he would give to his younger self would be to look into the future and not the past.
His favorite part about going to school is seeing his friends and watching the sports games. The thing that motivates him to keep going on a daily basis is the desire to live his life to the fullest without holding himself back.
Vandiver has been an integral part of the computer science program during his time in high school.
“Rylan is a dedicated and talented individual who consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic both in and out of the classroom,” computer science teacher Morris said. “He volunteers several hours of his time running the video board at school football games and frequently offers his help to classmates by tutoring them during class.”
