Q: Was there a career you wanted to pursue or pursued before teaching?
A: I always say that I wanted to be a back-up singer in a rock and roll band. Seriously, I wanted to be a writer.
Q: Tell us how you got into teaching.
A: I became a teaching assistant while working on my master’s degree. I signed up for the money ($450 a month) and then found I loved it.
Q: What do you do outside of school for fun?
A: Nothing fun-LOL. I hang with my family and friends; I enjoy needlework and needlecrafts.
Q: When people get to know you, what are they most surprised to learn about you?
