The new action-comedy movie, “Fall Guy,” released in May 2024, has become a fan favorite. The movie stars Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. It is filled with action, romance, and most of all, comedy. With 82% rotten tomatoes and a 7.2/10 on IMDb, “Fall Guy” is packed with everything that makes up a perfect movie. 

The character Colt Seavers, played by Ryan Gosling, is a stuntman who quits his job for a year after a tragic accident on set. He returns after receiving news that a star of a big-time movie has disappeared. His ex-girlfriend Jody Moreno, played by Emily Blunt, is the director of the upcoming movie. The awkwardness is real as they reconnect with each other while they hit multiple obstacles throughout the making of the movie. 

Colt gets sucked into problem after problem, including being framed for the disappearance of the movie star he replaced. Slowly, the long-lost lovers start to find the spark they had lost. As the mystery behind the missing actor deepens, Colt finds himself being pushed to the edge of a fall bigger than any stunt. 

“Fall Guy” is an amazing movie and I would recommend it for all audiences because it has something for everyone. It follows a romantic story with drama waiting behind every corner, as well as an action-packed journey, having stunts filled with danger leaving you on the edge of your seat. In fact, “Fall Guy” broke a Guinness world record for the most barrel rolls in a movie, being eight and a half. 

The best part about the movie is how funny it is. There are so many hilarious moments that will have you talking about it days later. One of my favorite moments from the movie is when Colt is sitting in his car alone, reminiscing on the days when he was still with his girlfriend. The song “All too Well” by Taylor Swift starts playing in the car while he is getting emotional. Overall, it is a great movie for everyone. If you are not sure what to watch next, this movie is an amazing option. I highly recommend it.
