Junior Kristian Gordon is a member of the Battin’ Bear Band. Some of his favorite hobbies are spending time with his family and friends and he also likes practicing his instrument.
Gordon’s goals for the future include that he wants to go to college and get a higher education. His biggest inspiration is his parents because they work hard and are just funny people. He wants to get better as a person and in the areas that he is passionate about.
His favorite quote is “One mo gin.” He does not know who started saying it, but it means no matter what, just try one more time even if you are tired or ready to stop.
Something that may not know about him is that he moved from California, despite being born in Texas. A few accomplishments he is proud of are that he got his grades up and he made a leadership position in band.
His favorite class is his engineering class because he said it is fun to do the projects.
Gordon’s engineering teacher, Jeff Collier, said he is a fantastic student to have in class.
“He is incredibly bright and allows his constant curiosity to show through the questions and discussions we have in class,” Collier said. “He’s a high achiever both in the classroom and in his other activities (like band) and is well-deserving of Bear of the Week.”
According to Gordon’s AP English III teacher Jill Shugart, she has enjoyed having him in class this year.
“He is intelligent, positive, and genuinely respectful,” Shugart said. “He is always engaged in whatever lesson we are working on in class. He is a wonderful representation of an LCM student.”
