The boys and girls track teams competed in the district meet this week in Silsbee. The girls team, coached by Becca Peveto, won the district championship for the second year in a row. The boys team, coached by Kurt Zihlman, placed 5th overall. Both teams had several athletes qualify for Area at WOS on April 11.

Dinah Tippins – district champion in the long jump (and new school record), district champion in the 200-meter dash
Janet Le – 1st place in pole vault, 3rd place in the 200-meter dash
Ashlynn Mobbs – 3rd place in pole vault
Allyson Welch – 2nd place in 3200-meter run, 2nd place in 1600-meter run
4×1 relay (Janet Le, Dinah Tippins, Carly Fisher, Chelsea Petree) – district champions
Chloe Davis – 5th place in 3200-meter run, district champion in 800-meter run, 3rd place in 1600-meter run
Presley Skinner – 6th place in 3200-meter run
Taylor Huckaby – 5th place in discus
Kinsey Doucet – 6th place in discus
Paisley Angelle – 6th place in triple jump, 5th place in high jump, district champion in 100-meter hurdles, 2nd place in 300-meter hurdles (and new school record)
Sarah Taylor – 3rd place in triple jump, 5th place in long jump, 5th place in high jump
Aaliyah Morris – 3rd place in 100-meter hurdles
Carly Fisher – 3rd place in 400-meter dash
Chelsea Petree – 2nd place in 100-meter dash
