Sophomore Isaac Woods is involved in several extracurricular activities such as JV football, fishing, and powerlifting. Outside of school, he is in hunting and fishing clubs. Some of his favorite hobbies include hunting, fishing, and sports/working out.
Woods’ goals for the future are to get a scholarship and to go to college. His biggest inspirations are his parents because they taught him well in everything he can do and have made him successful.
Woods’ favorite quote is, “I believe that we can win.” Something that people may not know about him is that he likes hanging around people, but sometimes needs time for himself. His favorite class this year is athletics because he gets to work out and play football.
Something that has made Woods proud was he has won money in a couple of fishing tournaments this year.
Woods’ football coach, Christopher Coats, said that he is a great student athlete.
“He gives 100% effort in everything he does,” Coats said. “It does not matter what we are doing lifting weights, running sprints, etc. he goes all out. He makes A’s and B’s and is an excellent student. Issac is a great representative of the Bear-Down mentality!”
Woods’ welding teacher, Mark Hinch, said that Woods is a very polite student.
“He is one of the best kids I have taught,” Hinch said. “He is respectful and always tries to help others.”
