Sophomore Zoe Winn is involved in various extracurriculars such as athletics, yearbook, and TMT, a modeling team that gives all profit to different charities. Her favorite hobbies include volleyball and reading.
Winn’s goals for the future are to attend SFA where she will study to be a NICU nurse. Her biggest inspiration is her mom because she doesn’t step away from any challenges she faces. When asked what motivates her, she said, “When people tell me I can’t do something. It pushes me to try my hardest.”
Winn’s favorite quote is 1st Corinthians 16:14: “Do everything in love.” Something people may not know about her is that she tells her mom everything and her best friends are her cousins, Brooke and Lauren. Something Winn is proud of is getting some of her photographs published as the “Photo of the Week.”
“It’s always a great accomplishment,” she said. “It makes me proud of myself every time I see one of my pictures on Bear Facts. My favorite class this year is yearbook because I love taking pictures for all the events that happen at our school.”
Winn’s health science teacher, Tara Parsons, said she is the definition of a genuinely nice person.
“Whether it’s offering a kind word, assisting a classmate with homework, or spreading joy with her presence, she is truly the spirit of kindness,” Parsons said.
Winn’s English and yearbook teacher Lindsey Fruge said Winn is a one-of-a-kind student who always has a smile on her face.
“Zoe lights up every room she enters,” Fruge said. “Aside from the fact that she is easily one of the sweetest kids I know, she is also one of the hardest workers. This is her first year to be part of the yearbook staff, and she has gone above and beyond. She volunteers to take pictures at almost every sporting event there is, and her photos are top notch. As of now, she has won more ‘Photos of the Week’ than anyone else on the staff, and she is only a sophomore. This speaks volumes as to the effort she puts into not only her photography, but in everything that she does.”
