Senior Callie Boyle can often be found under Friday Night Lights in the Boogie the Bear suit, making All-American and varsity her first year as mascot. However, being Boogie the Bear is not the only way Boyle stays involved, whether it be in school or out. One example of Boyle’s involvement is her volunteering at the Lion’s Den Carnival every year.
Outside of school, Boyle enjoys multiple different creative activities, including crocheting and painting. Whenever she is not creating, she likes to go out with her friends.
Boyle’s goals for the future include going to Lamar University and becoming a pediatrician. She would like to live in New Orleans, but also hopes to one day reside in New York City.
Boyle attributes her motivation to her family, saying that they “always want the best” for her and they support her no matter what. Boyle’s biggest inspiration is her mom, since she “would help no matter her faults and always support.”
Boyle’s favorite class is Mrs. Parsons’ second period, since she makes her class fun and is always there for her when she needs help. Her favorite quote is Stephen Hawking’s, “intelligence is the ability to adapt to change.”
“I wish for all to be blessed and to not forget that you only live once, so live life to the fullest and take risks,” Boyle said.
According to cheer sponsor Carlie Ford, Boyle is a great friend to the Team Force members and represents inclusion well. English IV teacher Kylee Moreland said that Boyle is someone she looks forward to seeing.
“She can make me smile, no matter what,” Boyle said. “Callie truly cares about other people.”
