“Bears Got Talent,” a talent show open to all students, will be hosted by the choir at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 23 in the auditorium. Everyone is welcome to attend the show, and students who are interested in performing and haven’t signed up can come see director Shannon Dow in the choir room to schedule an audition.

“If you have a gift, don’t be afraid to share it with the world,” Dow said. “We want everyone, even those not involved in school activities, to be able to share their talent.”

Participants will be screened by Dow at auditions and the winner of the show will be selected by a panel of judges at the competition.

“So far, we have singing, dancing, and rapping by solo and group acts,” Dow said. “We hope to have a big crowd.”

The talent show is a fundraiser for the choir students competing in the UIL Solo contest.

“Cash prizes have been awarded in the past, but we will have to see how many perform and attend before we know the possibilities,” Dow said. “The choir enjoys hosting and I think the students enjoy having a platform to share their talents with everyone.”
