Senior Soccer Player Leads the Way
For Senior Cesar Coca, playing soccer is more than just a hobby. It’s a way of life and something he has come to cherish, as the Varsity Captain. He has been a Captain since his junior year and believes he was put in this position because he can lead with a good example of how to perform on and off the field.
Soccer has been part of Coca’s life for as long as he can remember “My favorite part is just being part of an extra loving family.” Coca said
The bear soccer team is undefeated so far this season improving greatly since the 2013 season
“I think our biggest opponent is ourself’s,being a team of mostly seniors make it that much harder to focus and not slack off.” Coca said
According to Coca it has been a great honor being beside Daniel, Josh and Brian leading this team into a great start of the season.
“He said the fact that the boys soccer team hasn’t been to play off’s in so long makes it that much more important to win. It’s sad knowing that this is our last time playing for this high school. Its been a great time making new friends, family and memories.”Coca said “I have been struggling with problems with my health all throughout high school but I keep stepping out on the field to play the game that I love.”
