Freshman Preston “P.J.” Smith is involved in multiple sports at school, including football, basketball, and track. His goal for the future stems from these sports, in particular being on the varsity track team. Football motivates him, along with getting better grades. His favorite class this year is history, since he likes to learn about the past.

Some of Smith’s hobbies include playing games on his phone and reading. His biggest inspiration is his brother. One thing that people might not know about him is that he has seven siblings.

Smith’s greatest achievement is passing the first six weeks of high school.

“He is a true southern gentleman, always polite and kind to others,” math teacher Julie Mashaney said. “He works very hard to master things he doesn’t know.”
