Junior David Daleo is involved in a multitude of activities around school including powerlifting, tennis, computer science, math UIL, number sense, and calculator UIL. Some of his favorite hobbies are skateboarding, playing video games, tennis, and racquetball. He does not have any specific goals for his future, but he has two broad goals which are to never let himself down and to avoid living an ordinary life.

According to Daleo, he looks up to his brother Paul because of how wise his brother is.

“My brother Paul is my biggest inspiration,” Daleo said. “He may not be the most successful person but, at the age of 29, he is already one of the wisest people I know, having experienced more than most people I know.”

Daleo’s favorite quote is, “Live life to the fullest now. Do not wait for life because by the time it is over, you will not have lived.”

Daleo is motivated by the thought of where he will be in the future if he perseveres through the hard times. His favorite class at LCM is Jeff Collier’s Aerospace Engineering because of how interesting the class is. He is proud of his personal record of a 405-pound deadlift, and he hopes to beat it again this year. Something that people might not know about Daleo is that he skateboards and is quite good at it.

“Do not live with any regrets,” Daleo said. “If you want to go for something, go for it.”

“David is a fantastic student,” Collier said. “He is hard working, thorough, and you will rarely see him without a positive attitude and a smile!”
