Bear of the Week: Montana DiLeo
May 15, 2022
Senior Montana DiLeo is involved in Student Council and National Honor Society. She is also on the varsity girls golf team and will compete at the State Golf Tournament this week.
She said she looks up to her mom and sister because they are hard-working, and she wants to be a person who treats everyone with kindness and makes everyone feel included.
Her favorite quote is, “Don’t forget to thank God when you get what you prayed for.”
“It is important to be grateful for success,” she said.
DiLeo’s goals for the future include continuing to improve her golf game, getting a college degree, and attending dental school. Some of her favorite things include her family, her mom’s lemon pie, golf, concerts, and sneakers.
In the little free time she has, she enjoys watching “The Office” and “The Vampire Diaries,” as well as painting shoes.
Some of the most important things in her life are God, her family, her friends, and golf.
“Montana is an exceptional student and athlete,” golf coach Johnnie Kay Harrell said. “I am amazed by how well she manages her time. Somehow she fits in family time, church, school work, golf practice, golf tournaments, school activities, more golf practice, more golf tournaments, and she is good at all of it. She’s a really good person and shows such great character on and off the golf course. I am blessed to have had her in class and in golf these past four years.”
