Track athletes compete at District, qualify for Area

The boys and girls track teams competed at the district meet this week in Lumberton. The girls team finished in 2nd place overall and the boys finished in 4th. Several athletes qualified for the Area meet, which will be held next week in Huffman. Athletes who placed first through fourth qualified to compete at Area.
Girls Individual Results:
Shot put: Chrissy Joseph – 1st place, Aniah Simpson – 2nd place
Pole vault: Haelee Fitzhugh – 2nd place, Chloe Jacob – 3rd place
Long jump: De Asia Tippins – 2nd place, Aniyah Robinson – 6th place
3200 meter run: Belle Fisher – 1st place, Taylor Bull – 2nd place
4×100 relay: 6th place (Alayna Booker, Aniyah Robinson, Asia Robinson, Amanni Robinson)
100 meter dash: Kenniya Champine – 5th place
100 meter hurdles: De Asia Tippins – 2nd place
300 meter hurdles: De Asia Tippins – 2nd place
4×200 relay: 6th place (Alayna Booker, Aniyah Robinson, Asia Robinson, Lexis Moss)
1600 meter run: Belle Fisher – 1st place, Taylor Bull – 2nd place
4×400 relay: 3rd place (Lexis Moss, De Asia Tippins, Taylor Bull, Belle Fisher)
